70’s Colorblocking

70’s Colorblocking

One of the most fun trends this season is, by far, the flashback to 70’s fashion. While there’s certainly been an update to these retro designs, the same bright vibrant colors, geometric prints, and structured silhouettes prevail. And we’re not complaining! Being bold and playful is what this trend is all about, and we’re excited to share the three looks we’ve pulled together to showcase it all week long.

First up is this colorblock dress by DVF. It screams 70’s with it’s blend of turquoise, mustard yellow, and black. The silhouette is very flattering and the length shows just the right amount of leg. This is a great piece to add to your work wardrobe if you’re feeling adventurous. While this dress speaks for itself, we decided to make these colors pop even more with a colorful scarf and cat eye sunglasses. We finished the look with neutral accessories: black pumps and a black handbag.

Michael’s Styling tip: When wearing a busy dress you can still have fun with your accessories, just make sure they match the color scheme of the dress.
