In Her Closet: Jennifer Miller

Born in New York and raised in California, Jennifer Miller’s path to jewelry is no surprise. Her parents David and Beverly Navarro founded Navarro Alternatives, the one-of-a-kind line of artwear jewelry, in the 1970’s.

Growing up, Jennifer and her sister would have to clear the beads and findings from the dining room table before setting it as their father sat designing his latest creations. Carried in stores such as Neiman Marcus, I. Magnin, Henri Bendel and Barney’s New York as well as specialty stores around the country, Navarro Alternatives was seen gracing the necks of celebrities and prominent socialites of the day.

Jennifer started her journey selling jewelry privately in upscale beauty salons 20 plus years ago, then expanded by traveling around the country hosting warmly reviewed and increasingly popular Trunk Shows in cities around the country including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Aspen, Dallas, Boston, Chicago and Washington D.C.

Jennifer was then joined by her husband and business partner Mark Ehret. With his expertise in sales, international marketing and operations, the two worked brilliantly to make the brand more widely accessible by opening freestanding Jennifer Miller boutiques as well as launching a highly successful e-commerce business and Jewels by Jen, a Jennifer Miller collection for HSN.
