In Her Closet: Maria Dueñas Jacobs
An experienced leader in the fashion and accessories industry, Maria Dueñas Jacobs founded Super Smalls to combine her love for refined, beautiful and ornate objects with her passion for all things fun and kid-centric.
With three (super) small daughters, Maria’s family home is a headquarters of make believe, dress up and fearless fun. Super Smalls was born out of the idea that no matter how many beads and kids jewelry her daughters were given, they always wanted to play with mom’s jewelry instead.
Super Smalls encourages imagination and play for any child who enjoys a little extra sparkle.
Prior to launching Super Smalls, Maria was formerly at Glamour magazine and then the Accessories Director at ELLE Magazine.
What are you coveting for winter: I love cozy statement sweaters for winter like this Love Shack Fancy knit cardigan
What is your “it” accessory for the season: I love walking around the city and often carry my laptop around so I’m always looking for backpacks that are functional and cool. I love my recent Prada Re-Nylon purchase and have been using it a ton!
What’s the one item that you don’t leave your house without: I stock up on Labello Cherry shine chapsticks and keep them in every jacket pocket and bag I have! They are the perfect amount of moisture and color and when I apply it it makes me feel a bit more put together 🙂
