Power Dressing

With fall just around the corner, we’re excited to share one of the hottest “back to work” trends: suiting, which also happens to be perfect for transitioning from warm to cooler weather. Everything from blazers to corporate-inspired details in tops, dresses, pants, and accessories are taking shape in a brand new way. They’re bolder, bigger, and structured, while still giving way to feminine touches of flounce and fit. This week, we’ll be highlighting our favorite pieces so that you can grab some sumptuous suiting for your fall wardrobe.

First up is this double breasted vest by Veronica Beard. We love that the tailored fit and belt cinch the waist bringing a nice balance to an otherwise basic piece. The sleeveless silhouette also makes it great to wear alone through the close of summer, and wear as a layering piece through the cooler months. Buttoned up or open, this versatile piece will become a go-to for office wear and even dressed up. To keep this look office appropriate, we paired it with a white turtleneck bodysuit, wide leg cropped pants with grommet detailing, a pointed slingback pump, mirrored sunglasses, and a classic tote. Perfect for work!

Michael’s Styling Tip: Mixing two suiting pieces together is one of the best ways to bring this trend to life in a chic way. Pairing pants and vest like we did here is a great option.
